Regent Seven Seas Cruise Announces Voyage Featuring PBS Talent and Emmy Award-Winning Filmmaker Rory Kennedy
Miami, December 3, 2014 – Regent Seven Seas Cruises will host Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Rory Kennedy for an exclusive preview of her latest project, Last Days In Vietnam, aboard Seven Seas Voyager® during the 18-night Dynasties and Dragons sailing in Asia on Feb. 21, 2015. The filmmaker will engage with guests during a question-and-answer session at the end of the screening and provide compelling insight into the making and significance of the film.
Kennedy’s documentary chronicles the chaotic final days of the Vietnam War as the North Vietnamese Army closes in on Saigon and the South Vietnamese resistance crumbles. As the U.S. readies to withdraw, a number of heroic Americans take matters into their own hands, engaging in unsanctioned and often makeshift operations in a desperate effort to save as many South Vietnamese lives as possible.
Continuing a longtime relationship with PBS, Artful Travelers is partnering with Regent Seven Seas Cruises on this exclusive enrichment series showcasing exceptional PBS programming and beloved personalities.
