Elegant Evenings Begin at Six O’clock
After 6 p.m., the ship’s ambiance becomes sophisticated and naturally, the attire should match. This might include slacks with a dress shirt or sweater for men – with an optional sports coat or blazer. Pantsuits or dresses may be an option for women, as well as skirts or pants with an elegant top.
What is important to remember is that t-shirts, jeans, shorts, and/or caps are not permitted in the restaurants at any time or public spaces after 6pm.
Is there a Formal Night?
If you choose an itinerary of 16 nights or more, your onboard programming includes two optional Formal Nights. That’s two opportunities to dress to the nines with gowns and cocktail dresses, as well as tuxedos or dark suits with ties. The designated optional formal nights will be highlighted in your cruise documents, but as a general rule, these are usually second and penultimate nights of your voyage, when your Captain hosts a welcome reception and farewell dinner, respectively.
What about daytime attire?
During the day, guests are encouraged to wear resort style clothing, including shorts, warm-up suits, jeans, and sneakers if they are choosing to remain on board. Bathing suits, while acceptable at the Pool Bar and Grill, are limited to the outer decks. These guidelines help maintain the line’s elegant ambience.
