Your excursion commences at a lovely Caribbean rum shack on Sir Vivian Richards Street, the very street where Antigua’s favorite son was born. Met by the owners, one of Antigua’s most respected husband and wife team, the fun and education begin.
Through stories and anecdotes, they’ll take you on a journey through time of how Antiguan and Caribbean rums came to be. And, of course, one can only truly step into the mindset by tasting a variety of Antiguan rums.
As hunger sets in, you’ll bite into the delicious Antiguan and Caribbean specialties of crab backs, conch fritters, salt fish fritters, jerk chicken, fish fingers, chicken fingers and crab cakes made from only the freshest local ingredients. Want to know the chef’s secrets? Listen closely and he’ll share.
This excursion concludes with the opportunity to purchase your favorite bottle of rum to take home.
