Chef Tour and Moroccan Cooking Class Shore Excursion in Casablanca, Morocco
Ask any chef where their dream culinary destination is, and Morocco is likely to be among the top responses. While ancient and nomadic in its origins, this cuisine rests in a place like no other: between sweet and savory.
Your day commences with an introduction to Moroccan cuisine at the Culinary Arts Kitchen. You’ll then depart for a leisurely drive through Casablanca, a cosmopolitan city of wide avenues and gleaming skyscrapers. You'll enjoy a short stop at the modern Hassan II Mosque—built almost entirely with local materials.
Continuing on through Casablanca's lovely Corniche neighborhood, you’ll arrive in the elevated residential district of Anfa. Here, you’ll experience a festival for the eyes while exploring the colorful stalls abundant with fresh fish, fruits, vegetables and flowers while your chef selects foods for your class.
Then it’s off to the olive market to view and taste olives of every imaginable variety and color before enjoying some free time to explore. Then it’s back to the ship where your Chef leads an interactive, private 90-minute cooking class on the fundamentals of modern Moroccan cooking. The mood is set with Moroccan music and mint tea to celebrate your experience in enchanting Casablanca.
