Explore Singapore's most iconic landmarks in a unique new way during this bumboat ride along the Singapore River.
Depart the pier aboard an authentic bumboat for a 30-minute cruise along the Singapore River, the best way to catch a glimpse of Singaporean history. The river is home to 150 years of commercial activity, and has been at the heart of the growth of an obscure fishing village into a great seaport and metropolis. As you proceed along this bustling waterway, you will see a colorful array of restaurants, wine bars, entertainment venues and retail shops.
Next, you will board a coach for a sightseeing drive through the Colonial District of Singapore, also known as Old Singapore. Along the way, you will pass by the Padang City Hall, and St. Andrew's Cathedral, and view some of the splendid architecture of bygone eras. A stop will be made on Arab Street to visit and photograph the beautiful, gold-domed Sultan Mosque.
Your tour will continue with a visit to the legendary Raffles Hotel, one of the world's finest hotels and a must-see for any visitor to Singapore. Named after the British founder of modern-day Singapore, Sir Stamford Raffles, this property features the high ceilings and Colonial architecture that reflect the era of British rule from 1819-1963. During your visit, you may opt to purchase a legendary Singapore Sling, a famous libation invented in 1915 right here in the Long Bar at Raffles. Some time is also made available for you to browse the hotel's shops, which include the Raffles Gift Shop, Raffles Museum and Thos SB Raffles.
Your tour of Singapore concludes with a visit to the legendary Tiger beer-brewing facility. Upon arrival, you will observe Singapore's homegrown beer-brewing process during a stunning 4-D show at Singapore's first state-of-the-art, multi-media brand experience center. You will also have an opportunity to tap and drink the coldest, freshest Tiger beer in Singapore. For non-beer drinkers, a soft drink will be provided.
Please note: Conservative attire is required for the visit to Raffles Hotel and the Sultan Mosque; no shorts or bare shoulders are permitted inside and shoes must be closed (no sandals or open backs). Guests must be at least 21 years of age to participate in tastings of alcoholic beverages.
