Indulge your senses with the spectacular beauty and flavors of Italy during a memorable ride along Amalfi drive and a short visit to Amalfi.
A shuttle bus will transfer you from the pier to your awaiting coach. After boarding, you will then commence an unforgettable ride along the renowned Amalfi Drive. This narrow road winds alongside the rocky cliffs overlooking the sea and offers breathtaking vistas of the Italian Riviera with each twist and turn. A photo stop will be made so that you can take in the panoramic view and enjoy the marvelous Mediterranean breezes.
Your drive then continues on to Amalfi, located at the mouth of a deep bay. Upon arrival, your guide will tell you about the impressive duomo, the Cathedral of St. Andrew, which will be visited from the outside. The building is a curious combination of Moorish and early Gothic architecture. During your time in Amalfi, you will also be afforded some free time for a stroll along Amalfi's impressive marina, or you may wish to take this opportunity to browse among the colorful shops and cafés surrounding this charming village.
On the return journey to Sorrento, you will revisit the beauty of the Amalfi Drive. Once back in Sorrento, you have the choice of following your guide on a brief, but interesting orientation tour of the city, or returning directly to the ship.
