Ports and Excursions of Mediterranean

Marmaris, Turkey-port

Lord Nelson readied his fleets from this Mediterranean bay in 1798 before heading out to defeat the French in the Battle of Abukir. But since then, the serene harbor has remained much quieter. Set against a backdrop of pine clad hills, Marmaris is a resort that combines natural beauty with an astounding zest for life. Scenic roads, quaint villages and unspoiled beaches make Marmaris one of the most popular resorts in Turkey.
