Verona is an elegant city of picturesque streets and breathtaking architecture. Built over two thousand years ago by the Romans, the city is home to the world famous amphitheatre, the Arena di Verona, and its annual Opera Festival. You will enjoy a breathtaking performance in one of the most spectacular open-air venues in the world.
The Hotel Palazzo Victoria is a stunning palace built at the beginning of the 14th century located a short walk from the Arena di Verona; it was transformed into a boutique hotel in 1979 and renovated in 2012. Bedrooms are individually decorated using precious textures and materials from the Veneto region. Rooms are equipped with complimentary wi-fi, satellite TV and mini-bar. The hotel is close to the Ancient Roman gates of Porta Borsari and is the perfect base for exploring this wonderful city.

Your hotel stay includes breakfast, taxes, service charges, luggage handling and gratuities. Opera tickets are also included – these are’ 1st Sector Gold Poltronissime – the best seats in the Arena. Transfers have been arranged for you: from ship to hotel and from hotel to airport.
A Regent Seven Seas Cruises UK Representative – Ms Jackie Coggan - will be available throughout your stay in Verona. Jackie will coordinate arrangements and ensure that your stay is a pleasurable one. Guideline timings are given below – if there any changes, these will be advised to you in Verona.
For your convenience, your Opera tickets are held by your Regent Representative and will be given to you when you arrive in Verona.
Saturday 19th July 2014
Once you have collected your luggage and cleared customs you will be met by our Regent UK Representative Jackie Coggan and transferred to Verona and your hotel. Transfer time is approximately 90 minutes. Due to the narrowness of the streets and traffic restrictions in place, coaches are not allowed in the centre of Verona. The transfer will endeavour to drop you off as close to the hotel as possible although there may be a walk of 300 metres. Official check-in time is from 2pm so the hotel will store your baggage until rooms are ready. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy Verona
Sunday 20th July 2014
This morning after breakfast we have arranged a walking tour of Verona. Lasting approximately 2 hours our local guides will provide you with a comprehensive tour of Verona to include visits to Piazza Bra, Arena di Verona or Juliet’s House and Piazza Erbe. The rest of the day is at leisure before the highlight of your stay – the performance of Aida at the Arena di Verona.
Opera – Sunday 20th July 2014 – Aida
The performance will start at 9.00pm prompt. Doors open at 7.30 pm. Last admission to the Arena is at 8.30 pm, but we suggest you arrive earlier. The Arena is within walking distance of the hotel (five minutes away). Vehicular access to the Arena is restricted. There are many restaurants and cafes close to the amphitheatre; the hotel concierge will be happy to assist you with information and help in booking tables.
Please note that the Arena di Verona is an open-air venue. Refreshments are available for purchase and there will be an interval during the performance.
Monday 21st July 2014 – Departure Day
Transfers have been arranged for air/sea guests who have purchased flights through Regent Seven Seas Cruises and are flying back to the UK from Milan Linate Airport. Guests who have purchased their own flights will need to arrange their own transfer to the airport.
Please ensure that your baggage is packed and ready to be collected by hotel porters. Suitcases should be left outside your room; please advise hotel reception when these are ready.
Your Regent UK Representative will confirm the timings for baggage collection and departure from the hotel. After breakfast, please ensure that you check-out of the hotel and settle any incidental expenses that you may have incurred.
Due to the narrowness of the streets and traffic restrictions in place, your transfer will depart from the same location you were dropped off on arrival in Verona. Porters will take your luggage to the coach you will be asked to identify your luggage, before boarding the coach to the airport.
