La Digue, Seychelles-port

Located east of Praslin, La Digue is the fourth largest inhabited island of the Seychelles. Massive boulders lie like surrealist sculptures on a brilliant white beach. Turquoise seas a and emerald palms complete the picture of a serene, peaceful isle, that is considered the gem of the Seychelles. This is our planet’s only home for the elusive black paradise flycatcher bird.

Tour Code: LDG-003

Experience the pristine island beauty of the Seychelles during this scenic cruise to Aride Island.

Depart the pier via motorboat for the ride to Aride Island. Owned by the Royal Society of Nature Conservation, it is among the most striking of Seychelles' granitic islands. The island's sheer escarpments offer spectacular views and photo opportunities. Aride is also home to frigate birds, brush warblers, roseate terns, red-tailed tropic birds, and the largest concentration of Noddy and Sooty terns of any granitic island in the Seychelles. During your visit, you will take a stroll on the nature trail, take in panoramic views of the surrounding islands and have an opportunity to photograph the rare Wright's garden plant. You will have time at leisure to go for a swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean or bask in the sun. A barbecue-style lunch will be served on the beach. Following your visit, you will embark your boat for the return ride to the pier.

Please note: The boat ride from La Digue to Aride is approximately 1 hour; the boat ride from Aride to Praslin is approximately 45 minutes. Zodiacs will be used to disembark in Aride; be prepared for a wet landing. This tour is only recommended for active guests that can easily embark/disembark moving boats. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilize a wheelchair. Your Creole barbecue lunch includes a choice of bottled water and soda only. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover up, beach shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, and bring a towel from the ship. Masks and snorkels will be provided. Guests who participate in any water activities do so at their own risk and responsibility.
