Escapades in Barcelona & Beyond Land Program in Barcelona, Spain

Day 1 begins with a guided tour of the city passing the Columbus monument and waterfront on the way to Sagrada Familia, the extraordinary still-unfinished church that famed architect Antoni Gaudí worked on until his death in 1926.

Then it’s off for a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter, passing landmarks such as the La Seu Cathedral, city hall, Mount Juic hill and Spanish Village—an open-air museum featuring glass blowers and replicas of local characteristic homes.

After a tapas-style lunch, check into your hotel which is located in the Eixample district and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

After breakfast on Day 2, settle in for a guided transfer to Girona, where you’ll visit museums, galleries and Gothic churches, strung around a tangle of cobbled lanes and medieval walls. During the comprehensive walking tour of the city center, behold the 12th-century Arab baths and remains of Girona’s historical Jewish community. Lunch and the remainder of the day is for you to enjoy on your own.

Following breakfast on Day 3, you’ll receive a complimentary Hop On Hop Off bus voucher to explore Barcelona’s attractions. The buses travel in a continuous loop, taking you anywhere from the Picasso Museum to Gaudí-designed houses to various shopping areas. The entire day is yours to spend as you please, with all meals on your own before retiring to the hotel for the evening.

You’ll check out of your hotel following breakfast on Day 4.
