They like the relaxed pace, the storybook architecture, the carnival-like street life, and they are drawn to Mallory Square every evening to applaud the sunset. The island, just 2 miles wide by 4 miles long, is one of about a thousand coral islets in an archipelago that stretches 126 miles southward from Miami.

Experience the unique natural beauty of the Florida Keys during this eco-kayaking adventure to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge.

After embarking your boat, you will depart the pier for the ride to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge features hundreds of uninhabited islands scattered in the rich waters of Florida Bay, and serves to protect a world-renowned ecosystem that is the subject of intensive scientific study. Upon arrival, you will proceed to one of these islands, Archer Key.

As you near the island, your kayak will then be lowered into the shallow waters and you will be guided through the nature reserve. Along the way, you will explore the shallow, clear waters that are home to a variety of marine life, plants and birds. This area is a true marine sanctuary, both above and below the waterline. Your guide has spent years plying these local waters, and will provide you with interesting facts about your surroundings.

Following your kayaking tour, you will re-board the boat for the return ride to the pier.

Please note: This tour is only recommended for active guests in good physical condition. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or guests who utilize a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, and bring a towel from the ship. There are facilities and plenty of dry storage on the boat.
