A Guided Stroll Through Mykonos
Duration: 3 hours
Tour Code: myk-003
Once a quiet island known for its architecture and beautiful beaches, Mykonos has become a haunt for artists, jet-setters and tourists seeking the quintessential Cycladic experience. This walking tour of Mykonos Town showcases its lifestyle, both past and present. You will have the opportunity to explore the Mykonian Archaeological Museum, which displays artifacts from the nearby, sacred island of Delos. Walking through the town's narrow whitewashed streets, you will be struck by their labyrinthine layout, which was designed to confuse attacking pirates. During your free time, you might explore the whitewashed Panagia Paraportiani church in the Little Venice district.
Please note: Depending on the ship arrival time in Mykonos & opening hours of the Archeological Museum, this tour will include a visit to this museum or alternatively to the Nautical Museum. The Mykonian Museum is closed on Mondays; therefore, if you are touring on Monday, you will visit the Naval Museum instead. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes for this tour, which will require moderate walking and/or standing for approximately 2 1/2 hours over uneven, cobblestones surfaces. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility, or for guests who utilize a wheelchair.
