General Reservations Questions
Q: Where can I find the day-to-day itineraries?
A: Day-by-day itineraries can be found under the Itinerary tab of each voyage.
Q: Are there special activities for children?
A: Our Club Mariner program is designed for age groups 5-8, 9-12 and 13-17, and is supervised by specially trained counselors. Club Mariner is available on select sailings only. Please ask your travel professional for details.
Q: What is your smoking policy?
A: In light of continuing legislative changes in smoking policies around the world as well as the comfort, health and safety of our guests and crew, both in terms of the proven dangers of second hand smoke and the fire hazard that smoking presents, smoking is prohibited in all suites, staterooms and balconies fleet-wide.
In addition, cigarette smoking is not permitted in any enclosed dining areas, whether it be the ships' main dining rooms or the alternate dining venues. Cigarette smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the outdoor Pool Grills. Other than open deck areas, the following are the only public rooms or areas where cigarette smoking is now permitted:
Seven Seas Voyager: Connoisseur Club, Casino, Voyager Lounge (designated area), Horizon Lounge (outside area only), Pool Bar
Seven Seas Mariner: Connoisseur Club, Casino, Horizon Lounge (outside area only), Stars Nightclub (designated area), Pool Bar
Seven Seas Navigator: Connoisseur Club, Casino, Stars Lounge (designated area), Galileo's (outside area only), Pool Bar
Paul Gauguin: La Palette (outside area only), Le Grill (designated area), Pool Bar
Pipe smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club aboard Seven Seas Voyager, Mariner and Navigator. Pipe smoking in open deck areas is considered an extreme fire hazard and is not permitted. Cigar smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club aboard Seven Seas Voyager, Mariner and Navigator, and in the designated area of the Pool Bar area aboard all four vessels.
Failure to comply with this ban will result in guests being asked to leave the ship at their expense, without refund or credit for the unused portion of their cruise.
Q: I am in suite 816 on the Mariner. Why do my bag tags say deck 8F?
A: The F means Forward deck which helps in the loading of bags on the pier.
Q: What is "open seating?"
A: You can dine whenever, wherever and with whomever you choose during regular dining hours. In some of the alternative restaurants, reservations are recommended.
Q: Do we provide wheelchairs to passengers?
A: No, they would have to provide their own, except in an emergency.
Q: What is your policy about additional gratuities?
A: Gratuities are included in the cruise fare for all RSSC vessels. If guests feel strongly about expressing their gratitude to the crew, they should be encouraged to make a donation to the Crew Welfare Fund at the Purser Office. This money is utilized for crew parties and events.
Q: Are children allowed? And what about children's fares?
A: Any child under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. If the adult accompanying this child is not a parent, a “Parental Consent Guardianship Form” must be signed by parent or legal guardian and received by RSSC prior to sailing. Parents and guardians must be diligent to guard children while on or near balconies. The ships are not equipped to provide pre-natal, post-natal or pediatric services.
Speical promotional rates are available for children on select sailings. To be eligible, the child must be under the age of 18.
Q: How can I find the dress code for each sailing?
A: Dress Codes for each evening are listed on the Itinerary tab of each cruise.
Q: Should pregnant guests have any special documentation ?
A: Pregnant women should consult with their doctor prior to sailing with Regent Seven Seas Cruises as we cannot offer pre-natal care on board any of our vessels. Regent Seven Seas Cruises will not accept any guest if she is (24 weeks) 6 months or more into the pregnancy at the time of sailing due to the lack of neo-natal care facilities on board.
Those guests under (24 weeks) six months must provide RSSC with a written doctor's permission prior to sailing that states she is "fit to travel by sea and air (if RSSC booked their air)". This must be forwarded to Reservations, Attn: Special Requests-Medical, Omaha, Nebraska at: 1-402-493-2351. On the fax, please reference the Guest's name, ship name and sailing date. This permission must be dated within 30 days of the cruise departure date.
The Master in conjunction with the Ship's Doctor has the right to deny boarding if in his professional opinion there may not be adequate shore side medical facilities available in port during their cruise.
Q: How long does it take to get your brochures?
A: Brochures should be received 10-14 business days after the request. Visit the Order brochure(s) section to request RSSC brochures.
Q: What is the dress code on board the ships?
A: Attire ranges from casual to formal. Casual wear is appropriate for daytime on board or ashore, and consists of resort-style outfits. Casual wear, including shorts and jeans, is not considered appropriate after 6:00 p.m. Evening attire can be Country Club Casual, Informal or Formal. Country Club Casual consists of skirt or slacks with a blouse or sweater for women, and slacks and collared shirts for men (no golf shirts).
