Pricing and Policy Questions

Q: Are there any governmental fees that may apply?
A: NAFTA/INS fees apply to cruises terminating in the U.S. or San Juan and are charged as follows:

  • $4.93 per person for cruises limited to U.S. ports, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or the Caribbean Islands
  • $12.50 per person for cruises visiting or beginning at a port outside of the above
Rates are subject to change at any time.

Q: What is a “Foreign Transaction Fee”?
A: Regent Seven Seas Cruises is a world-wide leader in luxury cruising and our credit card transactions are processed through our bank in US dollars. Please be aware that some Visa and MasterCard issuing banks impose a “Foreign Transaction Fee” on credit card transactions processed outside of the U.S. even if the transaction is denominated in U.S. Dollars. This “Foreign Transaction Fee” is an arbitrary fee imposed by the credit card issuing banks which accrues solely to their benefit. Regent Seven Seas Cruises derives absolutely no benefit, monetary or otherwise, from the assessment of these fees.

Q: Are there any fuel surcharges that may apply?
A: Effective November 10, 2008, fuel supplement charges will be eliminated from all Regent Seven Seas Cruises voyages departing in 2010. For voyages departing in 2009, the company will continue to apply a $15 per guest per day fuel supplement. However, the company has established specific guidelines under which the fuel supplement may be reimbursed to guests sailing on voyages departing in 2009. Fuel supplement charge adjustments, if any, will be determined on a quarterly basis. Refunds, in the form of Shipboard Credits, will automatically be applied to all reservations to which a fuel supplement had previously been charged if the quarterly closing price on the New York Mercantile Exchange of West Texas Intermediate fuel is below $65 per barrel two weeks prior to the beginning of the upcoming calendar quarter.

Q: How is pricing handled for triples/quad occupancy?
A: The third or fourth adult in any deluxe or penthouse suite is 50% of the minimum category fare after early booking or 2-for-1 savings has been applied. Third and fourth guests in named suites will pay the minimum category fare. Third and fourth guests do not qualify for free air on free air or What a Fare Deal promotions. Standard air add-ons apply. Children ages 11 and under in any category pay 50% of the minimum category fare.

Q: How is 2-for-1 pricing calculated?
A: 2-for-1 pricing is calculated from the full brochure fare (not including early booking savings) or first guest fare. The 2-for-1 applies to all categories unless otherwise noted. 2-for-1 promotions may be capacity controlled, subject to availability.

Q: What is the pricing policy on combination cruises?
A: A number of cruises may be combined. When combining voyages, take the best available per guest fare from each voyage and subtract a 5% combination savings. Select sailings (such as World Cruise, South America, Discovery Collection, Grand Pacific, or Grand Transatlantic combinations) are not eligible for the 5% combination savings.

Q: Are past guests eligible for any discounts?
A: Seven Seas Society members, or guests who have sailed with us before, are eligible for savings on select voyages. Some restrictions may apply. More details >>

Q: What is your pricing policy for singles?
A: Standard single supplements are typically 100% for named suites, 75% for Penthouse suites and range from 10-40% for deluxe suites and are capacity controlled and may be raised at any time. Exceptions may apply.

Q: What is included in the cruise fare?
A: Regent Seven Seas cruise fares include all shore excursions beginning in 2010 (select Regent Choice tours subject to a supplement), all onboard gratuities; complimentary beverages including fine wines and premium spirits served throughout the ship; complimentary 24-hour room service menu; complimentary in-suite dining including selections from the main dining room during dinner hours; in-suite mini-bar replenished daily with soft drinks, beer and bottled water; Butler service in Category B suites and above, including in-suite bar setup and SoundDock® for iPod®; choice of multiple open-seating dining venues; interactive television with extensive media selection; 1:1.6 crew per guest ratio - among the highest at sea; spacious, all oceanview suites and staterooms, most with balconies; space ratios from 60 to 71.5 - among the highest at sea; and self-service launderettes (excluding Paul Gauguin).
