Description

OVERVIEW

Enjoy enlightening tours and tastings at two acclaimed wineries as a prelude to a dinner of traditional Croatian cuisine at a family-owned mill and estate. The Crvik family has been growing wine grapes for centuries, but only began producing wine over the past century or so. Your tasting at Winery Crvik will include four of its most distinctive offerings, which will likely include a wine made with Plavac Mali grapes, the primary red wine grape grown along the Dalmatian coast. Another tasting at Dubrovacki Podrumi will reveal the attributes of its wines. Favorites include a fruity Rosé, a buttery Chardonnay and a red Crljenak, which is what Zinfandel is known as in Croatia. Homemade bread and meats cooked under an iron bell, served with tapenade and olive oils, will also be served. A more complete dinner of Croatian dishes accompanied by live music awaits you at the family-owned estate Mlinica Šapro.
